I think a good idea for a Moana prequel would involve Moana's Grandmother when she was younger and had an adventure of her own. Someone had to know about it to pass the story down the generations. A plot hole in Moana is if Maui got stranded on his island for a thousand years, then how did Moana's grandmother know about him getting stranded and losing his magical fish hook?
